A multimedia studio to transform the Bayard Group’s audiovisual production

In 2025, the Bayard press and publishing group moved into new premises in Malakoff. This relocation of the group’s headquarters provided the impetus to transform the company’s audiovisual capabilities, with the creation of a multimedia studio shared between the various departments.

Bayard called on Aski-da Broadcast to manage this studio project, from gathering requirements to delivering the final spaces, including the selection and monitoring of integrators.

A harmonization project

This transformation project arose from a clear observation: Bayard Group’s audiovisual production had been fairly heterogeneous up to that point. The various departments did not have the same resources or production practices, and their working environments were not always conducive to filming.

By making audiovisual a key lever for renewing formats and audience relations, and by anticipating future uses, this new studio is part of the Bayard Group’s digital acceleration strategy.

The role of Aski-da Broadcast

At the joint request of Rudy Bertrand (Group Director of Technology, Data, and Digital) and Alexandre Hénin (Director of Audiovisual & Audio at Bayard Jeunesse and Milan • Bayard Jeunesse Production), Aski-da Broadcast became involved in the project to provide audiovisual expertise and liaise between internal departments and technical players in the market.

Studio design: a “toolbox” for multiple uses

One of the studio’s ambitions was to design a wide variety of formats: from simple recording for social media and multi-camera sets to podcasts, audiobook recordings, live webinars, and internal communications.

Another challenge was to design spaces that were easy to use, allowing teams to be fully autonomous without specific technical skills, while ensuring professional results.

A compact, modular, and fully equipped studio

The Bayard Group’s new studio now features a fully modular video set, including a green screen and corner set suitable for different filming configurations. The multimedia studio is also equipped with a recording booth and a ProTools system. A central control room allows for multi-camera production, mixing, and editing. Dedicated storage spaces complete the set.

Coordination and management: a challenge in itself

Aski-da Broadcast ensured effective coordination between the sponsor (Bayard), the audiovisual integrators (CTM Solutions for workflow and training, CVS Engineering for the set and scenery), and the other service providers involved. This large number of stakeholders required constant adaptability and a long-term, comprehensive vision.

A cultural shift underway

Highly acclaimed by the teams, this new space marks a real step up in quality and a significant cultural shift: from dispersed production to a centralized, structured, and more efficient organization.

“This studio is an essential lever for our digital transformation: it enables our teams to produce more, better, and for all our audiences. Aski-da Broadcast’s expertise was crucial in laying simple, solid and scalable foundations.”

-Rudy Bertrand, Director of Technology, Data & Digital – Bayard Group

Since the studio became operational, avenues for further development have been identified, including the creation of individual radio-style quick recording booths and a review of the modularity of the lighting systems.

Conclusion

This project fully illustrates Aski-da Broadcast’s identity and expertise. The company was able to support a client seeking to accelerate its digital strategy by providing a rigorous methodology, cutting-edge technical expertise, and a keen understanding of human and organizational issues. Thanks to this tailor-made approach, Aski-da Broadcast enabled Bayard to lay the solid foundations for a new multimedia strategy that is more fluid, more accessible, and resolutely forward-looking.
